高中英语词汇：bring及其词组用法讲解

　　1.bring on 使发生;引起;端上(饭菜)。如：
　　Tom often brings on meals and his brother，Jim picks up the dishes after meals.
　　汤姆常常端上饭菜，(而)他弟弟吉姆饭后收拾碗碟。
　　The sudden cold weather brought on his cold again. 天气突然变冷，使他再次感冒。
 
　　2.bring in 引来;引进;吸收。如：
　　His new business brings in 1，000 dollars. 他的新生意使他赚了一千美元。
　　We also brought in some words from English. 我们也从英语中吸收了一些词汇。
 
　　3.bring out 取出;说出;阐明;出版。如：
　　He brought out his gun and pointed at me.他掏出枪来指着我。
　　Bring out the meaning more clearly.请把意思讲清楚些。
　　They have brought out a set of children’s books.他们出版了一套儿童读物。
 
　　4.bring down 使降落，使倒下;使降低，使减少。如：
　　The pilot brought the plane down gently.
　　飞行员使飞机轻轻着陆。
　　The heavy wind brought down a large number of trees last night.
　　昨天夜里，大风刮倒了许多树。
　　The government has already taken measures to bring down the price of food.
　　政府已采取措施以降低食品价格。
 
　　5.bring back 带回，归还;使人想起，使人回忆起。如：
　　You must bring back these books by Monday.
　　你必须在星期一以前归还这些书。
　　All library books must be brought back before June 20.
　　六月二十日之前，所有从图书馆借出的书都要归还。
　　His sudden appearance brought back our happy childhood together.
　　他的突然出现让我想起了我们一起度过的快乐的童年时代。
 
　　6.bring up 提出;抚养大，教养;呕吐。带上楼,带到(更高的地方)
　　bring up a new suggestion/problem
　　Tell the maid to bring up our dinner.
　　告诉保姆把的晚饭端上来。
　　I hope you won’t mind me bringing this up again.
　　我希望你别介意我再提起这件事。
　　7.bring in 引进， 带来利益，赚得。 求援;求助
　　Bring the washing in, it's raining. 把洗的衣服收进来，天正在下雨。 如：
　　He does a part-time job that brings him in more or less 1,000 yuan a month.
　　他做着一份兼职工作，每个月大约可以赚到1000元钱。
　　His writings only bring in a small income.
　　他靠写作只能赚得微薄的收入。
　　Though we’ve made some achievements, we still need bring in advanced technology and equipment.
　　尽管我们已经取得了一些成绩，我们仍然需要引进先进的技术和设备。
