President Barack Obama has authorized fresh sanctions against North Korea in the wake of recent cyberattack against Sony. They’re aimed at three North Korea entities including a government intelligence agency and a North Korea arms dealer.

TV News vans are parked in front of Boston’s federal courthouse. As jury selection is set to begin Monday in the Boston marathon bombing case. Friday, the defense asked for jury selection to be postponed, but the Judge said no.

After nearly a week on the job, search teams are recovering more bodies from the Air-Asia flight 8501 disaster. Dozens of bodies have now been recovered.

US stocks were mixed Friday amid a report of a slowdown in manufacturing growth. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose a tenth of a percent, while the S&P 500 was little changed. And the NASDAQ fell slightly.
