Module 1 Europe一、题材内容与学习目的
介绍欧洲某些国家的名称、首都、语言、著名城市和文艺建筑,要求学生进一步了解欧洲概况,学会表达地理位置,最终能以口笔头形式并辅以照片,通过杂志、报刊等媒介综合介绍中国某一区域。

3.语法
(1)被动语态的现在时和过去时。例如:
Paris is visited by more than eight million tourists every year.
The Sagrada Familia was designed by an architect called Antonio Gaudi.
(2)主谓一致
1)集合名词,如family, team, class, band, group等做主语时,若视为整体,则谓语动词用单数形式;若视为个体,则用复数形式。例如:
My family lives in Beijing.
The second group of students are all girls.
2)当两个主语由or, either…or…, neither…nor…或not only…but also…等连接时,谓语动词的数要与最近的主语一致。例如:
Neither he nor you were allowed to go out at night.
Either he goes, or I do.
3)neither, either, each等做主语时谓语常用单数。例如:
Neither of us is English.
Each of the students has a dictionary.
4)none做主语时,谓语动词既可以用单数形式,也可以用复数形式。例如:
None of us is / are right.
4.功能
用in the south of / to the south of, on the coast of / off the coast of, across / between等表达位置(location)。例如:
Italy is in the south of Europe.
Portugal is to the west of Spain.
Barcelona is on the northeast coast of Spain.
Britain is an island off the coast of continental Europe.
France and England face each other across the English Channel.
There’s a mountain range between France and Italy.

介绍国家所在地、首都、著名文艺建筑、文化和语言概况。
三、语言技能目标
1.听
(1)识别所学生词、词语、语法和附加疑问语,听懂其意义并获取信息;
(2)听懂介绍地理特色和人物背景的语句和段落并获取信息。
2.说
(1)流利说出含有本模块生词、词语和语法的句子;
(2)准确运用语调来表达附加疑问语所传递的信息;
(3)熟练地对中国某些地区和城市的地理、文化和经济特色进行介绍或比较。
3.读
(1)理解包含所学生词、词语、语法和表示地理位置的句子和段落并获取信息;
(2)理解模块提供的和来自其他资源的地区特色介绍并获取信息。
4.写
(1)熟练写出包含所学词汇和语法的句子和段落;
(2)熟练完成模块所要求的各种书面练习;比较自如地介绍城市和地区的位置及特色。
四、学习策略
1.认知策略
(1)通过对语法难点的分析,培养英汉对比分析策略和抽象思维能力;
(2)在听和说的练习中利用附加疑问语培养获取信息和表达信息的能力;
(3)在阅读中训练利用现有地理、历史等背景知识培养对材料进行理解、分析、综合等加工的策略;
(4)在写作练习中提高前后联系、提出问题、回答问题等能力。
